As the new year begins, small businesses are planning their finances for the upcoming year. Grants can play a significant role in this process. Here are some January small business grant opportunities with details on application deadlines.
The 2024 Year-End Skip $10,000 Grant is available to help entrepreneurs end the year positively. This grant aims to provide financial support for personal or professional goals and is open to all applicants without restrictive eligibility criteria. The deadline for applications is January 15, 2025.
The Watson Institute's Retail Readiness Entrepreneurship Training Program offers a 16-week course aimed at empowering underserved U.S.-based entrepreneurs in agriculture or those creating value-added agricultural products. Running from March 10 to June 30, 2025, participants can receive up to $1,000 for retail readiness certifications and other support. Eligible applicants must be impact-driven entrepreneurs with proven products and revenue working in areas with high wealth inequality. Priority applications should be submitted by January 26, 2025; additional applications will be considered until all spots are filled.
The Revitalization and Placemaking (RAP) Program offers gap financing for place-based infrastructure development and improvements in public spaces. Applicants involved in rehabilitating vacant structures or developing permanent place-based infrastructure can apply by January 30, 2025.
