The City of Dearborn is set to host its second annual Bet on Dearborn Resource Expo on May 14, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. The event, previously known as the Entrepreneur Expo, aims to provide small businesses with resources necessary for growth and success.
This year introduces a new feature, Dearborn’s Night of Innovation, organized by the American Arab Chamber of Commerce. This "Shark Tank" inspired pitch competition will occur on May 13, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., where five startups will present their innovative solutions developed in Dearborn.
Dearborn’s Night of Innovation and Pitch Competition will showcase finalists pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges. The public can attend this event at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Applications for the pitch competition were open from February 13 through March 10. Prizes include $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000 along with a People’s Choice award.

The Night of Innovation and Pitch Competition is hosted by Dearborn's Economic Development and Philanthropy & Grants Departments with support from Comerica Bank.

The Bet on Dearborn Resource Expo continues its mission to empower small businesses by featuring over 45 vendor tables including city teams, non-profits, community organizations throughout Dearborn and Metro Detroit, as well as state-level organizations.
Attendees will have access to funding resources, business development services, marketing assistance, social media guidance while connecting with local organizations and city teams for networking opportunities. Khalil Dabaja from CommonWealth Group will serve as this year's emcee.
Workshops and panels are part of the expo offerings including a business panel with insights from Dearborn and Metro Detroit businesses. Workshops cover topics like improving business websites and accessing capital. A "Dearborn Ready" seminar provides information on bidding for city projects while the returning "Fun Factory" showcases businesses promoting STEM education among youth.
