The New Economy Initiative (NEI) and City Institute have announced the start of a Small Business Social Hour Series, with the first event scheduled for Thursday, September 25, from 4-7 p.m. at Detroit Pizza Bar.
The series aims to support small businesses across Metro Detroit by providing opportunities for owners to network, share experiences, and promote their businesses. The events will be held monthly at different neighborhoods and small business locations throughout the region.
According to organizers, "This event series supports small businesses throughout Metro Detroit by bringing small business owners together to mix, mingle, and move their businesses forward, while highlighting the stories of the unique small businesses that are the backbone of the city."
Participants are invited to gather with entrepreneurs, founders, other business owners, and supporters of the local business ecosystem. Each month’s event will feature a new neighborhood and spotlight a different small business.
For September, the event will take place at Detroit Pizza Bar in the Live6 Neighborhood. Networking will be available from 4-7 p.m., with programming scheduled between 5:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided during the gathering.
