Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, representing Michigan's 12th district, has publicly addressed issues concerning youth homelessness and criticized the Trump Administration's policies. Through a series of tweets on March 28, 2025, Tlaib expressed her unwavering stance against the administration's actions and highlighted legislative efforts to combat homelessness.

In her first tweet, Congresswoman Tlaib extended her gratitude to over 100 residents who participated in a town hall meeting aimed at resisting the Trump Administration's policies. "Thank you to the over 100 residents who showed up ready to resist the Trump Administration's illegal actions and harmful cuts at our town hall. Together we will resist and stop the attacks on our communities. I will always have your back and will not back down." This statement was made on March 28, 2025.

Tlaib later tweeted about the urgency in addressing the nation's housing crisis, particularly the issue of youth homelessness. On March 28, 2025, she stated, "This is not the time to back down on addressing our nation's housing crisis. Youth homelessness is at an all-time high while Trump slashes housing support. The Youth Homelessness Guaranteed Income Pilot Program Act, was crafted by young people with lived experience."

Additionally, Congresswoman Tlaib emphasized the importance of immediate action to end homelessness in one of the wealthiest nations globally. On the same day, she remarked, "This bill meets the youth homelessness crisis with urgency. In the richest country in history, we must end homelessness. You can read the press release below."
