On March 26, 2025, Tlaib criticized former President Trump, asserting that he issued "another illegal executive order to attack our voting rights and disenfranchise millions of Americans". She accused Trump of engaging in voter suppression, claiming it to be "another unconstitutional abuse of power." Furthermore, she stated, "Trump does not have the power to rewrite election law. This is another unconstitutional abuse of power. He is not a king."

The following day, on March 27, 2025, Tlaib turned her attention to a legislative matter concerning university financial transparency. She expressed disappointment that her colleagues blocked her amendments aimed at including countries with active war crimes cases before the ICC and ICJ. In her critique, she highlighted issues with international law compliance, particularly in relation to the Israeli government, by stating, "When it comes to the Israeli government, they are willing to throw international law in the shredder."

On March 28, 2025, Tlaib addressed issues affecting federal workers, drawing a broader connection to all workers in the United States. She accused Trump of attempting to weaken worker solidarity while engaging in what she termed as a "lawless rampage." She concluded her tweet by encouraging collective action: "It’s time to organize, fight back, and defend the working class."
