The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting small businesses to offer services in some of the state's 103 parks. This initiative aims to enhance visitor experiences by providing a variety of services such as concessions, equipment rentals, and guided tours.
The DNR uses a competitive bidding process to select businesses that "understand that every point of customer contact is an opportunity to educate and inspire and/or commit to employing best stewardship practices." The selected businesses will secure contracts for up to seven years.
