As the year draws to a close, small businesses are looking for financial opportunities to support their operations in 2025. Several grant programs are available in December for businesses seeking financial assistance.
The Detroit Legacy Business Project Grant aims to support long-standing small businesses that have been part of the city's culture for 30 years. The program will award sixteen grants, including $15,000 for two businesses in each of Detroit's seven council districts and two citywide grants of $50,000. Applications must be submitted by December 23, 2024, at 8 a.m. EST.
DoorDash offers a Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund providing $10,000 grants to help restaurants recover from natural disasters or infrastructure failures. Eligible applicants include U.S.-based restaurants with up to three locations that have experienced revenue loss due to a declared disaster within the past year. Applications are open until December 2, 2024, at 6 p.m. EST.
The FedEx Entrepreneur Fund and Boost Camp offer a digital growth accelerator program with education, mentorship, peer networking, and potential $10,000 grants. Applicants must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska) and hold an executive leadership role in their business. Applications are due by December 13, 2024, at 6 p.m. EST.
Lastly, the Secretso Small Business Grant provides $2,500 grants to entrepreneurs to overcome challenges and accelerate growth. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and operate in eligible U.S. states excluding Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, New York, and Rhode Island. Applications close on December 31, 2024, at 2:59 p.m. EST.
