The Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), in collaboration with the Michigan Alliance of APEX Accelerators, will host its Mentor-Protégé Program Summit from July 29 to August 1, 2024.
At the Summit, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, workshops, and keynote speeches delivered by experts from government, industry, and academia. The event aims to provide resources and strategies to foster partnerships between mentoring firms and small business protégés. Additionally, it seeks to build partnerships and strengthen resilience within the defense industrial base.
Participants will have the chance to connect with major primes and key individuals from various sectors. These interactions could potentially lead to partnership agreements under the Mentor-Protégé Program.
The DoD Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP) assists eligible small businesses in enhancing their capabilities and expanding their presence within the defense industrial base. Through this program, small businesses are partnered with larger companies to improve their ability to perform as subcontractors and viable suppliers under DoD contracts as well as other federal government and commercial contracts.
