LOCK - TAKE - HIDE
Unfortunately, we are still seeing a higher-than-acceptable number of vehicle break-ins and vehicle thefts. The common factor in the overwhelming majority of these cases is that the victims did not "Lock, Take, Hide." LOCK your vehicle, every time, all the time. TAKE your valuables, including your purse, keys, and electronics with you. If unable to take valuables with you, HIDE them out of sight, preferably in the trunk, if possible. Most of these incidents are crimes of opportunity, which occur when victims leave their vehicles unlocked, with valuables in plain sight and thieves see an easy score.
