It is beginning to warming up and bicyclist are beginning to ride and enjoy the weather. We have bike lanes in the City of Ecorse on both sides of W. Jefferson to protect bicyclists and pedestrians from fast moving motor vehicle traffic. It is illegal to drive or park in a bicycle lane.
Drivers are to make turns from the travel lane and NOT the bicycle lane. It is also illegal to park in a marked bicycle lane, except where permitted by official signs.
Please be mindful of the cyclist in the bike lane(s).
