Hamtramck is celebrating 100 years as a city

100years

City of Hamtramck issued the following announcement on Apr 13.

Hamtramck is celebrating 100 years as a city, and we are looking for 100 volunteers to be a part of this historic effort.

If you can commit to picking up one bag of trash per week throughout the summer around your neighborhood or at events, please join us!

(That’s just 16 bags per person.)

You’ll get supplies like gloves and buckets, notification of all events, and our undying gratitude.

You’ll also get a new perspective on trash and litter.

You’ll want to get others involved.

You’ll have fun and help make our city shine.

The project kicks off with The Clean Sweep on 14 May.

Please email Max Gilginas to pre-register mgilginas@hamtramckcity.com

All levels of ability are welcome, and we’ll have adaptive supplies if needed. Call Max with any questions at 313.800.5233 x 326
