Today completes our annual Defensive Tactics certification.
We review all of our use of force from the previous year. In a peer review, what went well, what didn't go well. What techniques worked and which ones failed? Why did they fail? What can we do better.
We also incorporate scenarios from today's headlines. We use a heavy rope to exhaust the officer prior to the scenario. Decisions made while tired often are different.
We also do many reps of techniques, muscle memory.
