City of Dearborn Heights recently issued the following announcement.
All kinds of fun today at the as we recorded the latest “Mayor Bazzi's Business Tour” episode (dedicated to highlighting and helping promote our local businesses) at Zee the Cook’s Warren Avenue studio.
Not only did we get to see a kitchen full of kids in action today at their special “camp” session, but Mayor Bazzi even tried his hand behind the apron – working shoulder-to-shoulder with Zee’s young students (and demonstrating, among other kitchen moves, his mastery at cracking eggs one-handed).
The episode highlighted not only the great success Zee has achieved through her hard work and dedication to her craft over the years, but also celebrated the fact that this is one of the city’s VERY successful women-owned businesses.
ZeeTheCook is an independent, post-secondary school offering programs in Hospitality and Management, Culinary Fundamentals, and NRF Customer Service + Sales. Her licensed proprietary school is focused on training, preparing and testing students for gainful employment and continuing education.
But that’s not all. Zee also hosts corporate, private and team-building events (centering on group food preparation), catering services, and – as you can see in the photos – classes, private parties and camps geared toward youngsters where she promotes safe cooking and familiarity around the kitchen, the importance healthy eating, teamwork, respect, creativity, and much more – all in a fun, hands-on environment kids enjoy.
Watch for this episode that will be appearing soon on the city’s cable channel, its YouTube channel, and on the city’s website. It is definitely worth the watch!
