City of Riverview recently issued the following announcement.
After Christmas Stuffed Animal Giveaway
The Kiwanis of Riverview has received a very generous donation of nearly 700 12” tall stuffed animals. Nicole Clark from the Woodhaven PetSmart donated the animals to club in an effort to get these insanely cute animals into as many children’s hands as we could.
The Kiwanis will be joined by the Riverview Police and Fire Departments in the distribution.
The distribution will be a drive-thru event at the Riverview Community Center located at the end of Riverview Veterans Memorial Drive behind the library in Riverview.
The Giveaway takes place on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 12:00pm till 2:00pm. Please proceed as directed when entering the community center area.
There are six different stuffed animals (as pictured). Each child will be given one stuffed animal and there are no choices. The stuffed animals are in bags that cannot be seen through. Yes, you may pick one up if your child is not present. These stuffed animals are safe for children 3 years of age and up. They also make perfect toys for your dog.
The Kiwanis of Riverview would like to thank Nicole Clark, Woodhaven PetSmart, Southgate Kroger, The Riverview Police Department, The Riverview Fire Department, The Riverview Department of Public Works, The Riverview Recreation Department and the myriad of volunteers who helped (the day before) stuff the animals.
