City of Riverview recently issued the following announcement.
Saturday October 23rd, from 10am to 2pm, The Riverview Police will take part in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative, sponsored by the DEA.
DEA will accept pills and empty vape cartridges only. The drop box is located inside the Police Department Lobby.
Items that Cannot be taken back: illegal drugs (to include marijuana or methamphetamine), liquids, needles/sharps, inhalers, mercury thermometers, aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials (anything containing a bodily fluid or blood), flares, personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc.), household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, chemicals, oil, or gas), no unmarked acids
