The Detroit Regional Chamber has announced the participants for Leadership Detroit Class 46, a program that aims to develop leadership skills among executives in Southeast Michigan. The nine-month initiative brings together 77 individuals from various sectors such as business, labor, government, education, media, civic groups, health services, and community organizations.
Leadership Detroit was established in 1979 and is led by the Chamber. It now counts more than 2,500 alumni. The program seeks to raise awareness of important issues affecting the Detroit area and encourages participants to become agents of positive change within their communities.
According to the Chamber, "Leadership Detroit is a Chamber-led community leadership program for executives in Southeast Michigan with more than 2,500 alumni. Launched in 1979, it raises awareness of key issues affecting the Detroit Region and develops the next generation of changemakers."
The current class will engage in discussions aimed at problem-solving and gaining new perspectives on regional challenges. The goal is to promote social and economic progress throughout the region.
"Leadership Detroit provides opportunities for participants to foster and spark problem-solving discussions while providing new views on key issues to foster regional social and economic progress. The program will continue its role in creating an environment of more informed leadership for the Detroit Region," according to the Chamber.
