Senator Lana Theis, a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, recently shared her views on social media regarding gun rights, crime policies, and concerns about youth welfare.

On September 7, 2025, Senator Theis posted about her attendance at a National Rifle Association event in Howell. She wrote: " Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the NRA Freedom Fest in Howell — and what an incredible event! The crowd was packed, the energy was high, and it was a great reminder of how important it is that we continue to stand strong in defending our Second Amendment rights."

Two days later, on September 9, 2025, Senator Theis addressed criminal justice policies. In her post she stated: "For too long, liberal progressive, soft-on-crime policies have been treated like some kind of social experiment. The results are in — and they’ve proven to be dangerous. Communities across our country have paid the price with rising crime, unsafe neighborhoods, and broken trust."

Later that same day she expressed concern for children with a brief statement: "We are failing our children."

Senator Lana Theis represents Michigan's 22nd District. She has been vocal about Second Amendment issues and public safety throughout her legislative career.
