Detroit City FC is set to return to Keyworth Stadium this Saturday for a match against Monterey Bay FC. The game will commence at 4:00 p.m. and will be available for streaming on ESPN+, with local broadcasting on CW Detroit 50 (WKBD-TV). Michigan residents can stream the match for free on CBSDetroit.com.

Detroit City FC, known as Le Rouge, aims to recover following their first loss of the season with a 2-0 defeat to Louisville City FC. Louisville's dominance in the first half led to a goal in the 20th minute, with another error in the 77th minute sealing the game for Louisville.

In the upcoming match, goalkeeper Carlos Herrera is notable for having made his debut with Detroit City FC on Saturday, marking the 227th player to represent the club. Both Herrera and teammate Morey Doner will be facing their former club. Herrera had 34 appearances with Monterey Bay FC, while Doner had 102 over three years.

Monterey Bay FC comes in strong, having secured victories in three of their initial four league matches this season. In their latest league outing, they achieved a 3-1 win over Phoenix Rising FC. Carlos Guzman kicked off the scoring early at three minutes in. Despite a tied game at one all, subsequent red cards for Phoenix allowed Adrian Rebollar and Anton Søjberg Horup to secure the win for Monterey.

Monterey Bay, however, will be playing on short rest, having recently participated in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on Tuesday. They were defeated 2-1 by El Farolito SC, an amateur team from San Francisco.

Post-match, Detroit City FC will travel next week to face Phoenix Rising FC. Following that, Le Rouge will again host at Keyworth Stadium, facing Eastern Conference opponents Rhode Island FC in two weeks. The match, also set for 4:00 p.m., will have tickets available through Detroit City's website.
