The Detroit Red Wings have completed a trade, sending defenseman Tory Dello to the New Jersey Devils in return for future considerations. This move was announced on March 14, 2025.

Tory Dello, aged 28, has participated in 27 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League during the current season, accumulating four points and 16 penalty minutes. Last season, he played for the Chicago Wolves where he scored 13 points over 65 games. Dello's AHL career includes stints with teams such as Laval Rocket and Wolves, collecting a total of 52 points across 215 games.

Before entering professional hockey, Dello had a successful collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame from 2016 to 2020. He achieved significant milestones including a Big Ten Conference championship and two consecutive Big Ten Tournament titles. Earlier in his career, while playing for Tri-City Storm in the USHL, he led his team to a Clark Cup championship and received the Curt Hammer Award for his exemplary skills and character.

Dello is originally from Lakewood, Illinois, and has represented Team USA internationally, earning a bronze medal at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2014.
