The Detroit Lions have introduced Grit City Spirits, launching two limited edition releases: Grit City Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Grit City Vodka. This initiative marks the 2024 season and the return of the team's black uniform. The spirits are available across Michigan, produced in collaboration with craft distillery BOTLD.

The packaging of these spirits pays homage to the dedication and camaraderie of Detroit Lions fans, designed by Weholden, a company known for its work on successful spirit brands over the past decade. The partnership with local distributor Imperial Beverage ensures that fans can find Grit City products at retailers throughout Michigan.

Grit City Straight Bourbon Whiskey is an 86-proof spirit featuring notes of corn, rye, and malted barley. Meanwhile, Grit City Premium Vodka is an 80-proof gluten-free option with a smooth taste and hints of corn and pepper.

Detroit Lions Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Mace Aluia expressed enthusiasm about the launch: "It's exciting to launch Grit City Spirits as it commemorates Lions history, Detroit pride and creates a unique touchpoint for fans as we welcome the return of the black uniform, now called 'Motor City Muscle'."

BOTLD's Founder Andrew Auwerda also commented on their involvement: "BOTLD is proud to work with the Detroit Lions to produce Grit City Spirits, helping provide an additional way to engage with fans and celebrate a storied, American city."

Grit City Spirits plans further releases in collaboration with BOTLD over coming years to mark significant team milestones. For more information, visit gritcityspirits.com or follow @gritcityspirits.
