The Detroit Tigers are preparing to host the Cleveland Guardians for Game 3 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) on Wednesday, October 9, at Comerica Park. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:08 p.m., with a potential Game 4 set for Thursday, October 10, at 6:08 p.m.
"Tigers fans have been incredibly supportive all season long, and we can’t wait to celebrate the return of postseason baseball to Comerica Park," said Asia Gholston, Vice President of Marketing for the Detroit Tigers. Fans are encouraged to wear orange and arrive early to enjoy events outside the ballpark.
A special Drone Show presented by Meijer will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m. outside Comerica Park. Fans can gather on Columbia Street near the Fox Theatre in The District Detroit for optimal viewing. This event is free and does not require a ticket.
On game day, a pregame Block Party sponsored by Meijer will be held outside Comerica Park on Witherell Street starting at noon before Game 3's first pitch. Food trucks from Bert’s Marketplace and Yum Village will be present alongside Detroit City Distillery offerings and a draft beer trailer for fans aged 21 and older. Postseason merchandise will also be available.
Entertainment includes performances by local DJs on the Meijer Stage in front of the Comerica Entry along with face painters, airbrush artists, a 360-degree camera, and various photo opportunities. Additionally, live broadcasts from 97.1 The Ticket will occur during the Block Party.
Gates to Comerica Park open at 1 p.m., where ticketed fans will receive an orange postseason Rally Towel courtesy of Meijer.
If Game 4 is necessary, another Block Party will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday ahead of the scheduled first pitch at 6:08 p.m., with gates opening two hours prior.
