The Detroit Lions announced their 2024 regular season schedule today, featuring nine nationally-televised games, including at least one on each broadcast network and five prime-time games.

The Lions' defense of their NFC North crown will begin with a Wild Card rematch against the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field on Sunday Night Football. This marks the first SNF game at Ford Field since 2018 and only the second time Detroit has opened its season with a Week 1 Sunday prime-time game, the first being in 1991 against Washington. It is also the seventh time the Lions and Rams will play in a Week 1 game, last occurring when Detroit hosted the then-St. Louis Rams in 2012.

In Week 2, the Lions will host another postseason rematch against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Week 4 features a Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks, marking the first time these teams will meet in Detroit on a Monday night. This is also only the second time in franchise history that Detroit will host two prime-time games within the first four games of any season.

Following a Bye Week in Week 5, Detroit travels to play the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, marking their third consecutive season with a road game at Dallas—a sequence last seen from 2004-06. In Week 10, the Lions will make their second appearance on Sunday Night Football for an away game against the Houston Texans, which will be their first prime-time matchup ever.

Detroit's traditional Thanksgiving Day Classic will occur on November 28th at 12:30 p.m. ET when they face off against the Chicago Bears for their 20th all-time Thanksgiving Day battle and fourth in seven years. The following week, they will host Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football in Week 14—the third such meeting between these teams for a Thursday prime-time game in Detroit.

In Week 17, the Lions travel to face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football for their sixth such showdown and first since December 14, 1998. The regular season concludes with a home game against Minnesota Vikings in Week 18—marking consecutive season finales between these teams for the first time since 1966-67.

The preseason schedule includes visits to New York Giants (Week 1) and Kansas City Chiefs (Week 2), before hosting Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 3).

This season's flexible scheduling allows adjustments up to twice between Weeks 5-10 for Sunday Night Football and during Weeks 11-17 at NFL's discretion; similarly for Monday Night Football during Weeks 12-17; and up to twice between Weeks 13-17 for Thursday Night Football. These changes may affect initially scheduled times and networks based on competitive considerations as outlined by NFL procedures available online.

Limited single-game tickets for Detroit Lions' home games can be purchased via Ticketmaster when released through www.detroitlions.com/tickets while supplies last. Ticketmaster's NFL Ticket Exchange remains the official resale partner of both NFL and Detroit Lions.
