At Monday's Garden City City Council Meeting, Sgt. Bruce Shippe was recognized for his 23 years of service to the Garden City Police Department.
Sgt. Shippe retires with 16 years in as Garden City's K9 officer. His current partner Rudy, was promoted to the rank of Sargent, as he also heads towards retirement. Bruce was Garden City's first ever Resource Officer and is a nationally recognized K9 trainer.
The City of Garden City wishes Bruce and Rudy the best in their new adventures.
