City of Flat Rock issued the following announcement on Oct 19.
Please help us congratulate Officer Jacob Mitchell. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at last night’s council meeting.
Sergeant Mitchell has been with Flat Rock Police Dept since October of 2016. He has worked as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Union President, and Taser instructor.
He was given his Oath of Office by City Clerk Shane Harrison. Sergeant Mitchell’s lovely wife Courtney pinned his Sergeants badge to his chest, just as she did his patrolman badge when he was hired. His family was also in attendance.
CONGRATULATIONS Sergeant Mitchell!!!
