City of Grosse Pointe Park recently issued the following announcement.
If you requested an absent voter ballot for the Grosse Pointe Park City November 2, 2021, election, the absent voter ballot you received contained an error in the heading of the Judge of Municipal Court race. The absent voter ballot you received indicated that it is a non-incumbent position, but the incumbent judge is running, and the ballot should indicate that status. All candidates have been notified that a replacement ballot will be issued.
As a result, the City is issuing this enclosed replacement ballot. Please vote using this replacement ballot and return this replacement ballot even if you have already voted and returned your original ballot. The replacement ballot will be the vote counted. If you do not vote using this replacement ballot and/or do not return this replacement ballot, your original ballot will be counted.
If you have not already returned the original ballot, please vote with and return only this replacement ballot and destroy the original ballot. Please use the return envelope that came with this replacement ballot, and not the envelope that came with the original ballot.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, however, the City is working with the County and the State and has procedures in place that will ensure only one ballot for each voter will be counted.
