42 percent of applicants to the College for Creative Studies were admitted for fall 2018

At the College for Creative Studies, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Detroit enrolled 1,485 students in fall 2018, including 1,417 in undergraduate and 68 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

78 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 16 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 42 percent of the 1,945 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
