The Detroit Red Wings are set to finish their five-game road trip with a matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network.

After this game, the Red Wings will return home for a four-game homestand from November 7 to 15. This stretch includes two major centennial celebrations: the Hockeytown Centennial FanFest at Motor City Casino Hotel from November 6-9 and "100 Years of Hockeytown: A Night at the Fox Theatre" on November 8. Tickets remain available for both events.

“It’s going to be a really special weekend,” said Detroit head coach Todd McLellan. “I think about the players that I was lucky enough to be around, but just think of the others in the 40s and 50s and all the families that are going to be around. Maybe those players aren’t with us anymore, but how they’re going to be represented kind of gives you shivers.”

On their current road trip, Detroit has achieved a record of 3-1-0, most recently defeating the San Jose Sharks in a shootout on Sunday night. The team remains undefeated this season when scoring first.

“Obviously, you’d like to clean that one up in regulation, but anytime you get two points on the road you can’t be too disappointed in it,” J.T. Compher said. “It gives us some stuff to look at, work on and clean up.”

Team captain Dylan Larkin noted that resilience has been key during recent games.

“We’ve won in different ways,” Larkin said. “It’s hard on the road. There were question marks after the [back-to-back set in Buffalo and New York] because we didn’t play well. We’ve responded against some good teams on a tough trip. I’m excited that it wraps up in Vegas against a team like this. It’s going to be a huge test. I think it’s going to be a really good hockey game, and I hope we’re ready to go.”

The Golden Knights have faced several injuries this season but currently share second place in their division with Anaheim and Edmonton. Their last game was a loss against Colorado Avalanche as they began their own six-game homestand.

Jack Eichel leads Vegas with 19 points so far this season and was named NHL’s First Star for October. Eichel has maintained a close friendship with Larkin since their time together at the U.S. National Team Development Program.

“I have such a great relationship with him, so many good memories,” Larkin said. “The 4 Nations, to see now that we’re both a little bit older and we’ve been playing in the NHL…His success is probably no surprise to a lot of people, to be close with him and see it up front – see how hard he works, how dialed in he is – was great to see. Great memory for both of us.”

Mitch Marner has contributed significantly since joining Vegas via trade from Toronto Maple Leafs during the offseason, tallying 14 points in his first 11 games with his new team. Captain Mark Stone remains sidelined week-to-week due to an upper-body injury but is still among team leaders in points despite limited appearances.

Goaltender Akira Schmid has played six games for Vegas this season with a goals-against average of 2.73 and save percentage of .892.

“I’d view Vegas as one of the top teams in the League, certainly,” McLellan said. “They’ve proven it for years. They seem to make moves in the summer that keep them relevant. Mitch Marner is a huge addition for them, but prior to that Tomas Hertl. They’ve got some size and play a well-rounded game. They don’t give up much at all, so you really got to earn your offensive opportunities and you better be alert defensively.”
