Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who represents Michigan’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on September 26, 2025, addressing legislative initiatives, criticism of current U.S. policy, and her involvement in community organizations.

In a post at 15:03 UTC, Tlaib stated: "It’s no secret that American families are struggling to make ends meet with the rising cost-of-living expenses. That’s why I introduced the Cost-of-Living Fairness Act to ensure that working people get the help they need to provide for their families."

An hour later, at 16:04 UTC, she wrote: "From celebrating the massacre of indigenous Lakota women and children to arming the slaughter of indigenous Palestinian women and children, is there a genocide this administration doesn’t support?"

At 16:26 UTC on the same day, Tlaib shared another message about her sorority involvement: "There is nothing finer than a Zeta woman, and one thing about my Sorors, they always have my back. I am so proud and honored to be a part of this sweet sisterhood, and it was a pleasure to welcome my Sorors for Zeta Day on the Hill."

Tlaib has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Brenda Jones as representative for Michigan’s 12th district. Prior to her tenure in Congress, she served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2009 to 2014. Born in Detroit in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Tlaib graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree before earning her JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
