The Detroit Regional Chamber, in collaboration with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), has announced that applications are now open for the 2026 NeighborHUB grant program. This marks the eighth year of the initiative, which aims to support small businesses in Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck by providing financial assistance and resources.

According to the organizations, since 2024, NeighborHUB has awarded 120 grants to small businesses. These grants have been used to help create and enhance spaces intended to foster collaboration and drive positive change within local communities.

Eligible small businesses can apply for grants of up to $15,000. The funding is designated for projects that seek to improve business operations or increase community impact. Approved uses include building improvements, new signage, equipment purchases, interior updates, delivery vehicles or mobile units, and upgrades to online operations.

Alongside financial support, recipients will also gain access to consulting services designed to ensure their projects are both successful and sustainable.

Business owners interested in applying must be located in Detroit, Highland Park, or Hamtramck. Additional requirements include being operational for over a year, holding a valid EIN (Employer Identification Number), and employing fewer than 25 people.

Applications will be accepted until Monday, Nov. 3. Selections are expected at the end of December 2025 with funds distributed in January 2026.

For more information on eligibility criteria or how to submit an application, individuals can visit NeighborHUB.
