Dorian Grey has been appointed as the Senior Director of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation at the Detroit Regional Chamber. In this role, Grey will lead programs such as Leadership Detroit and the Detroit Policy Conference, along with other initiatives that support small businesses and entrepreneurs in the region.

Grey has a background in economic development, leadership cultivation, and business innovation. He has experience as a small business entrepreneur and has spent ten years working in corporate governance, program development, and stakeholder engagement. His civic work includes serving as Board Chair of the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce and holding positions with the Detroit Economic Club, including Young Leader Board Member and Chair of its Career Readiness Academy Committee. These roles have focused on workforce and career development for youth in the Detroit Region.

Before joining the Chamber, Grey worked at AAA – The Auto Club Group for more than eight years where he managed enterprise-wide governance and corporate affairs for a large organization.

Earlier this year, Grey participated in the Mackinac Policy Conference as a Future Leader. He was also selected by the Chamber to join a Detroit cohort attending the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program.

“Dorian brings a fresh perspective with extensive corporate and civic experience to the Chamber, which will ensure Leadership Detroit, the Detroit Policy Conference, and other key initiatives remain relevant and continue to innovate in providing unique experiences for business professionals from across the Detroit Region,” said Megan Spanitz, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at the Chamber.

The 46th class of Leadership Detroit is set to begin this fall and will last nine months.
