Diana Zelvin, a business coach and psychotherapist, offers guidance for professionals seeking to strengthen their resilience and achieve business results during uncertain economic times. Drawing on her experience working with leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, and those at career crossroads, Zelvin emphasizes the importance of mindset in navigating challenges.

"There is no sugarcoating it, we are in uncertain and unstable economic times. Fear and anxiety are running high among all business owners. Many are asking: How will my business survive this time? How can I possibly thrive in it? With the right mindset, you can lead with clarity and confidence, rise above the noise, and keep your businesses growing, even when the world feels unpredictable. Here are five powerful strategies for building a resilient and growth mindset," Zelvin states.

She identifies imposter syndrome as a common issue among entrepreneurs. According to Zelvin, about 84% of entrepreneurs experience feelings of inadequacy despite evidence of their skills. She recommends that individuals maintain a list of accomplishments to reinforce self-confidence and use daily affirmations to counter negative thoughts.

Zelvin also highlights the impact of money mindset on business decisions. She notes that many people operate with inherited beliefs about money that may limit their potential. To address this, she suggests identifying limiting beliefs, practicing gratitude by journaling achievements and positive aspects each day, and reevaluating pricing strategies based on value provided.

Relationships play a key role in business success, according to Zelvin. She encourages reaching out to existing contacts such as past clients or colleagues for support or referrals. "The most powerful asset you have in business is your relationships," she says. Approaching relationships with generosity—offering help or resources—can foster trust and open new opportunities.

Maintaining physical and mental health is another focus area for peak performance. Zelvin advises prioritizing sleep, nutrition, hydration, movement, and calming practices like meditation or journaling to manage stress effectively.

Finally, she stresses the importance of big-picture thinking rather than focusing solely on immediate tasks or crises. Setting aside regular time to review progress and consider long-term goals helps prevent reactive decision-making driven by fear.

Zelvin suggests structuring planning into three phases: immediate needs; next-phase goals over six to twelve months; and long-term vision spanning three to five years. This approach supports both current stability and future growth.
