The Detroit Lions have made several changes to their roster, according to an announcement from the team on August 26, 2025.
The organization placed linebacker Ezekiel Turner on the reserve/injured list. EDGE Ahmed Hassanein was waived with an injury settlement.
Additionally, the Lions released defensive lineman Myles Adams, offensive linemen Trystan Colon, Netane Muti, Dan Skipper, and wide receivers Tom Kennedy and Malik Taylor. Linebacker Anthony Pittman was also released.
Players who were waived include EDGE Mitchell Agude, cornerbacks Luq Barcoo, Allan George, Tyson Russell, Nick Whiteside; wide receivers Ronnie Bell, Jakobie Keeney-James, Jackson Meeks; offensive linemen Gunner Britton, Zack Johnson, Mason Miller, Michael Niese; defensive linemen Keith Cooper Jr., Brodric Martin; linebackers DaRon Gilbert; safeties Erick Hallett II, Ian Kennelly, Morice Norris, Loren Strickland; quarterback Hendon Hooker; tight ends Zach Horton, Gunnar Oakes, Steven Stilianos; running backs Deon Jackson and Jacob Saylors; and EDGE Nate Lynn and Isaac Ukwu.
Three players—offensive lineman Miles Frazier, defensive lineman Alim McNeill and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez—were placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. EDGE Josh Paschal was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.
