Detroit City FC will continue its three-match homestand this Saturday with an interconference game against San Antonio FC. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be available for streaming on ESPN+ and locally broadcast on CW Detroit 50 (WKBD-TV). Michigan residents can also watch the match for free via CBSDetroit.com, and the game will air live on SiriusXM FC.

Detroit City comes into the match following a 2-0 victory over Tampa Bay Rowdies last Saturday. In that match, Ates Diouf scored in the 30th minute, followed by Darren Smith’s goal eight minutes later. The game experienced a weather delay of more than 90 minutes midway through the second half due to rain. After play resumed, both teams played conservatively during the final 20 minutes, allowing Detroit City to maintain its lead and secure three points.

Defender Matt Sheldon was recognized for his performance by being named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 25. Sheldon assisted Darren Smith's goal in the 38th minute, won eight duels, drew four fouls, completed 73% of his passes, and made four clearances. Carlos Saldaña and Ryan Williams were selected for spots on the Team of the Week bench.

San Antonio FC arrives in Detroit after a six-match winless streak across all competitions this season. Earlier in their campaign, they had achieved a four-match winning streak but now sit fourth in the Western Conference with eight wins, five draws, and seven losses totaling 29 points.

In their most recent outing last weekend against Monterey Bay FC in California, San Antonio played to a scoreless draw. Monterey Bay managed only four shots on target during that match. San Antonio midfielder Lucio Berron received a red card in the 86th minute, forcing his team to finish with ten players.
