Detroit City FC has announced the loan acquisition of defender Isaiah LeFlore from Major League Soccer club Philadelphia Union. The 22-year-old player will join Detroit City FC until the end of the season and is set to wear jersey number 33.

LeFlore has started 20 matches for Philadelphia Union in MLS Next Pro, recording one goal and three assists over 1,686 minutes played. His performance this season places him among the top defenders in several statistical categories within MLS Next Pro: he ranks in the top 92.4th percentile for duels won (7.73 per 90 minutes), top 80.9th percentile for tackles won per 90 minutes, and top 94.7th percentile for recoveries.

Before joining Philadelphia Union, LeFlore spent two seasons with Houston Dynamo 2, making a total of 36 appearances and starting in 27 matches. During his time there, he contributed six goals and six assists. In the 2023 season, he led all league defenders with six assists and was at the top of his team’s rankings in tackles (33), interceptions (52), duels (272), and duel percentage (57.7% among players with at least 100 duels). He also scored during the Round of 16 match against Tacoma Defiance in the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs.

LeFlore began his soccer career at Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Minneapolis before moving to Portugal to play for AD Oeiras from 2016 to 2019. He later joined Sporting Kansas City II where he made 26 appearances between 2020 and 2022. Prior to signing with Houston Dynamo, LeFlore played for S.C. Braga B in Portugal’s Liga 3 division. Internationally, he has represented the United States at the U15 level.

LeFlore has already joined Detroit City FC’s squad and is eligible for selection ahead of Saturday’s match against San Antonio FC.
