Detroit City Football Club secured a 2-0 victory against Midwest United FC on Saturday night in the USL W League. The match, held in Detroit, saw Hannah Crum score both goals for Le Rouge, marking their second consecutive win and third clean sheet within a week.

The first half proved challenging for both teams' offenses as strong defensive performances kept opportunities at bay. The first shot on target came from Ella Kane in the 17th minute. Despite growing into the game, Detroit could not find a breakthrough before halftime, leaving the score tied at 0-0.

Early in the second half, Hannah Crum opened the scoring in the 49th minute after her initial shot was deflected by the goalkeeper. She seized the rebound to give Detroit a lead. Nine minutes later, Crum scored again with a long-range effort that curled into the top left corner of the net.

In response to maintaining their advantage, Detroit made several substitutions starting in the 71st minute when Kayla Addison, Tatiana Mason, and Mira Webster replaced Danielle Stephan, Kate Childers, and Hannah Crum. Further changes were made with Emily Pagett and Drew Martin entering for Sophia Romine and Abigail Smothers in the 78th minute. Camryn Evans later replaced Ella Kane.

Despite continued pressure from Detroit for another goal, Midwest United's defensive adjustments hindered further scoring efforts. With this win, Detroit moved to second place in the Great Lakes Division with seven points, trailing AFC Ann Arbor by three points.
