Detroit City FC is set to face Toledo Villa FC on Wednesday evening at Keyworth Stadium in a USL W League match. Both teams are seeking their first win of the season. The game will start at 7 p.m. and can be streamed for free on CBSDetroit.com and SportsEngine Play.

In their recent match, Detroit City FC played to a 0-0 draw against Union FC Macomb during their home opener for the 2025 USL W League season. Despite creating early opportunities, Detroit City failed to score, allowing Macomb to stay in the game. Goalkeeper Allison LaPoint made significant saves throughout the match, helping her team secure a point.

Toledo Villa has had a challenging start in its inaugural USL W League season, losing its first two matches: 3-1 against Kalamazoo FC and 3-0 against Midwest United FC. Fans of Detroit City FC may recall previous encounters with Toledo Villa from the 2019 NPSL season when Detroit City's men's team defeated them twice.

Notably, three players on Toledo Villa's roster previously played for Detroit City FC: goalkeeper Deighton Wamer and forwards Ellie Pool and Rylee Clark. Pool appeared in 21 matches for Le Rouge, scoring five goals and providing an assist, while Clark made ten appearances and Wamer nine.
