Detroit City Football Club is set to enter its fourth season in the USL W League with a series of roster updates for 2025. The club has announced several new signings, as well as returning players, underlining their commitment to continuity and development.

The latest additions include goalkeeper Charlotte Huggard, midfield/forward hybrids Kate Robinson and Madelyn Rousseau. Huggard, from Plymouth, Michigan, initially joined Purdue University but transferred to Marquette University where she made her collegiate debut. She has now moved to the University of Nebraska Omaha for the upcoming season. Robinson joins after two seasons at Eastern Michigan University, where she was named MAC’s Freshman of the Year in 2023. Rousseau is preparing for her first season at the University of Toledo after not playing during her time at Michigan State University.

Defender Mira Webster and forwards Kayla Rollins and Abby Werthman are also joining Le Rouge this summer. Webster comes from Western Michigan University where she was granted a medical redshirt last year. Werthman also played at Western Michigan, scoring 12 goals last season. Rollins arrives after four seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with an impressive record of 41 goals.

Earlier announcements included forward Camryn Evans and midfielder Zoe Greenhalge. Evans played for Michigan State University and Greenhalge appeared in the MASL W League National final last season.

Head coach David Dwaihy emphasized the importance of roster continuity: “We are blessed to have such a large group of returning players this summer.”

Returning players include those who participated in both MASL W League and Premier Arena Soccer League during winter seasons, which has helped build team chemistry.

Detroit City FC finished their previous USL W League campaign with a record of 10-2-0 under coach Dave Dwaihy, winning their division and reaching the playoffs for the first time.

The club will continue announcing roster updates leading up to their season opener against AFC Ann Arbor on May 17.
