Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who represents Michigan's 12th district, recently took to social media to share her perspectives on various pressing issues. Known for her advocacy in Congress since replacing Brenda Jones in 2019, Tlaib has also served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2009 to 2014.

On May 15, 2025, Tlaib addressed her followers about a resolution she introduced: "My sity's only crime in the eyes of the Israeli government is that she was born Palestinian. Today, to honor her and Palestinians all over the world, I introduced a resolution to recognize 77 years of the ongoing Nakba. It continues to this day with the genocide in Gaza."

The following day, on May 16, Tlaib highlighted a personal story from her district: "Christina is a mother from our district living with Lupus, who relies on Medicaid to care for herself and her family. The Republican Budget cuts would have a devastating impact on our families. #MamasforMedicaid" This post underscores her concern about proposed budget cuts affecting healthcare.

Later that same day, she warned about potential legislative changes: "The 'Nonprofit Killer' bill is back. And Republicans are trying to sneak it into the budget reconciliation package." This tweet reflects her opposition to certain legislative maneuvers within budget discussions.

Rashida Tlaib was born in Detroit in 1976 and currently resides there. She holds degrees from Wayne State University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
