Detroit Regional Chamber celebrates International Women’s Day with focus on wellness

The Detroit Regional Chamber will host its annual International Women’s Day celebration on March 4, 2025, focusing on the theme #AccelerateAction. The event aims to provide attendees with strategies and resources for advancing gender equality and supporting women's achievements across various aspects of life. This year's gathering will include wellness hubs that promote empowerment, self-care, and connection.

Community Financial Credit Union will facilitate a 'Safe Space and Belonging' activity to encourage open dialogue and empathy among participants. Corewell Health representatives will offer health and wellness strategies, while Mia’s Flower Truck, sponsored by Enbridge, will feature a “make-and-take” bouquet station allowing attendees to create personalized flower arrangements.

KeyBank sponsors Michigan Humane's involvement, offering adoptable pets for attendees to enjoy and potentially adopt. This activity highlights the mental and physical health benefits of pet companionship. Additionally, Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan will sell cookies at the event to support local scouting experiences and help girls develop entrepreneurial skills.

Dana Buchanan from The W Buchanan Group will lead a guided meditation session during lunch to promote stress management and resilience. Henry Ford Health offers an art therapy session where participants can explore the therapeutic benefits of creating art.

Lastly, Pixel-Vue provides an opportunity for attendees to capture their experiences with fun 360° videos using props alongside fellow participants.
