Detroit City Football Club and the USL W League have released their schedules for the 2025 women's outdoor season. This marks Detroit City FC's fourth year in the league. Last season, the team reached the National Semifinal after securing victory in the Central Conference final against Indy Eleven.

In 2025, Detroit City FC will compete in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference. They will face AFC Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo FC, Midwest United FC, Toledo Villa FC, and Union FC Macomb in home-and-away matches.

Toledo Villa FC and Union FC Macomb are new additions to this year's USL W League but have previously participated in USL League Two. Fans may recall Toledo Villa FC from its 2019 performance in the National Premier Soccer League Season when they placed seventh in the Great Lakes Division.

The season begins for Detroit City FC on May 17 with an away game at AFC Ann Arbor. The home opener is scheduled for May 24 at Keyworth Stadium against Union FC Macomb as part of a doubleheader with a match featuring Detroit City's USL Championship side against Charleston Battery.

Last year was notable for Detroit City as they achieved a record of twelve wins, two losses, and one draw—their only defeat coming from Colorado Storm in the national semifinal.
