On February 12, 2025, Congresswoman Tlaib expressed her discontent with the Pentagon's budget and its audit performance. She stated, "The Pentagon budget is approaching $1,000,000,000,000. It just failed its SEVENTH audit in a row. If Musk truly wanted to root out waste and corruption, instead of just torching the programs working people rely on, they would have started with the Pentagon."

Later that day, she addressed Republican actions regarding environmental regulations. On February 12, 2025, she tweeted about lead contamination risks: "Today Republicans are voting to be able to force families to drink lead-poisoned water, as they continue to push to rescind the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements that speed up lead pipe replacement. Lead pipes impact every district in America, red or blue."

On February 13, 2025, Congresswoman Tlaib criticized Republican efforts related to education policy. She wrote on social media: "If Republicans want to shut down the Department of Education, bring a bill to the floor. Show your constituents that you want to destroy public education.
