The Detroit Pistons and Comerica Bank have announced a partnership for the 2024-25 NBA season, introducing the SHOP313 Pop-Up Shops initiative. This collaboration aims to showcase 28 small businesses from Michigan, starting on January 31.
The initiative will provide participating businesses with various resources to promote their brands. These include exposure at Little Caesars Arena and promotion through the Pistons' website and social media platforms.
"SHOP313 Pop-Up Shops, presented by Comerica, continues to expand on both organizations’ commitment to supporting, highlighting, and elevating the small business ecosystem," according to the announcement. The program is in its second year of collaboration between Comerica Bank and the Pistons.
During each designated game, seven Comerica Bank small business customers will participate. Six businesses focused on direct customer engagement will have an opportunity to promote their brands in the UWM District Market concourse. Additionally, one business will receive suite access for networking opportunities.
All participating businesses will benefit from digital signage inside Little Caesars Arena and brand awareness via social media posts.
The scheduled dates for SHOP313 Pop-Up Shops are:
- Friday, Jan. 31 vs. Dallas Mavericks
- Wednesday, Feb. 26 vs. Boston Celtics
- Tuesday, March 11 vs. Washington Wizards
- Friday, April 11 vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The first set of small businesses involved includes Dynamic Roofing (Carleton), Happy Deals LLC (Detroit), Rev’d Up Fun (Woodhaven), SkinbarVII (Detroit), Suburban Truck Driving School (Romulus), The Alexis Company (Detroit), and NYX Cleaning Services, LLC (Ann Arbor).
Dynamic Roofing specializes in asphalt roofing systems across Oakland, Wayne, and Monroe Counties in Michigan. Happy Deals LLC offers affordable homeware in Detroit. Rev’d Up Fun provides entertainment experiences in Woodhaven. SkinBarVII is a facial spa located in Detroit offering high-end skincare services.
Suburban Truck Driving School provides CDL training in Romulus for those entering the trucking industry.
