A new model of cooperation between Ann Arbor and Detroit is considered crucial for the development of Michigan's tech economy. This perspective was shared by Richard Florida, founder of Creative Class Group, who conducted a study commissioned by the Detroit Regional Chamber and the University of Michigan. The study focuses on establishing an innovation corridor to connect the growing startup ecosystems in both cities.

The topic was discussed at the Detroit Policy Conference on Thursday, where industry experts convened to explore strategies for advancing Detroit's innovation economy and positioning Michigan as a contender in the global innovation landscape.
