Lucas Raymond extended his point streak to eight games, scoring twice in the Detroit Red Wings' 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. "I think we played pretty good today," Raymond said. "We played some really good defense and came up big in big situations, but it sucks we couldn’t get the two points."

Ville Husso, making his first start since November 9, stopped 32 shots for the Red Wings. On the other side, Joonas Korpisalo made 25 saves for the Bruins. "A disappointing finish," said Detroit head coach Derek Lalonde. "A point on the road is pretty good. We have points in six of our last eight [games], but there was a lot of opportunity to get the full two points tonight."

Raymond opened scoring with a goal at 7:31 of the first period after a failed clearance by Boston. This marked his eighth goal of the season and helped him become one of the youngest players in Red Wings history to reach 200 career NHL points.

Boston equalized less than two minutes later with a goal from Nikita Zadorov. Marco Kasper's power-play goal was disallowed after a successful offside challenge by Boston, leaving Detroit trailing in shots through two periods.

Raymond scored again early in the third period, assisted by Michael Rasmussen and Simon Edvinsson. However, Justin Brazeau tied it for Boston during a power play midway through the third period.

In overtime, Pavel Zacha scored following a controversial no-call involving David Pastrnak and Alex DeBrincat. "I’d have to look at it back," Lalonde commented on Zacha's game-winning goal sequence.

The Red Wings will face the Ottawa Senators next as they conclude their road trip.
