Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, representing Michigan's 12th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of statements via social media on November 22, 2024. These posts addressed a range of issues including hate crimes, legislative decisions affecting nonprofits, and funding for senior services.

In her first statement on November 22, 2024, Tlaib highlighted concerns about the dehumanization of Palestinians and its deadly consequences. She expressed alarm over "the recent surge in anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, and Islamophobic hate crimes" and questioned the lack of response from her congressional colleagues.

Later that day, Tlaib shared her decision to vote against HR. 9495 for the third time on November 22, 2024. She criticized the bill as a threat to civil liberties and democracy because it could potentially close down nonprofits without due process. This action would impact organizations such as ACLU, NAACP, and Planned Parenthood by "silencing groups" and infringing upon free speech rights.

In another post on November 22, 2024, Tlaib announced securing $1.25 million for Livonia's new Senior Wellness Center. She emphasized the importance of providing programs and resources to enhance seniors' quality of life in Livonia where there are over 30,000 senior residents. She expressed pride in advocating for retirees' dignity through her role in Congress.
