The congresswoman, who has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Brenda Jones, is actively involved in community service and legislative matters.

On November 20, 2024, Congresswoman Tlaib highlighted her participation in a community event aimed at supporting veterans. She noted that her team collaborated with Wayne County Commissioner Baker McCormick and GRDC for a turkey giveaway to honor veterans. "My team and I joined Wayne County Commissioner Baker McCormick and GRDC for the veteran turkey giveaway, coming together to give back to those who have served.
