The Detroit Regional Chamber has joined the U.S. Chamber in urging Congress to address the impending expiration of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Without congressional action, the expiration in 2025 will result in what is described as the largest tax increase in U.S. history, potentially undermining economic progress made since President Donald Trump enacted the legislation.

The anticipated tax hike is expected to hinder economic growth, impose financial burdens on families and businesses, and lead to job losses. The chambers emphasize that for America's economic future to remain secure, it is crucial for the next Congress and Administration to focus on a pro-growth agenda that prevents tax increases and supports an environment conducive to prosperity for all Americans.
