The Detroit Regional Chamber has announced the appointment of Terry Rhadigan as a strategic advisor. In this role, Rhadigan will assist the Chamber in enhancing its communication with Michigan’s corporate and automotive c-suite leaders, supporting various Chamber initiatives such as MichAuto and the MichAuto on the Island event.
“As a long-time friend of the Chamber and well-respected corporate leader, Terry’s expertise in communications, public relations, and reputation with c-suite executives will be invaluable to the organization’s growth as the largest business organization in Michigan,” said Sandy K. Baruah, Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer. “The entire Chamber looks forward to welcoming Terry and embracing the fresh perspectives and insights he will contribute to the Chamber’s vision.”
Rhadigan expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team: “I’m excited to be part of the Chamber team and contribute to the vital work they’re doing to help Detroit and Michigan retain their rightful place as leaders of the global economy. I can’t wait to get started.”
Rhadigan has been associated with the Chamber for many years during his tenure at General Motors (GM), where he advised top leadership on corporate communications strategy and public affairs. He played a key role in launching several initiatives, including the NeighborHUB grant program that supports nonprofits and small businesses in Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park.
Additionally, Rhadigan is an alumnus of Leadership Detroit and has participated as a sponsor and speaker at numerous Chamber events. His career at GM included multiple executive roles in communications and corporate giving. He also holds several board positions with organizations such as the Automotive Hall of Fame, Detroit Economic Club, The Parade Company, and serves as Chairman of the Detroit Sports Organizing Corporation.
