Michigan's August 2024 primary election determined the final candidates for the November 2024 general election, including those for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The state's secure election implemented many voter-initiated changes from 2022, allowing flexible voting options for citizens.
The Detroit Regional Chamber PAC saw success in its endorsements for business-friendly candidates statewide.
"The Chamber PAC continues to evaluate all races across the state and prioritizes those candidates who support the Chamber’s core business-focused legislative priorities," Williams said. "We congratulate all 50 endorsed candidates that won last night and look forward to working with this strong group of candidates through the general election."
The Chamber remains committed to engaging with its members and the business community to advocate for policies that foster economic growth and stability. By supporting aligned candidates, the Chamber ensures Michigan businesses' interests are well-represented in the legislative process.
To bolster trust and participation in elections, the Chamber has urged its members to join Michigan Business United for Elections. Leveraging their influential roles within communities, Chamber members can help ensure safe, secure, and accessible elections in Michigan.
Michigan Business United for Elections is a partnership between the Chamber and the Michigan Department of State aimed at restoring faith in elections and ensuring every legally eligible Michigander can vote. This initiative is based on findings showing that the business community is regarded as a trusted source of information by the public.
