The Detroit Regional Chamber has welcomed nine new executives to its Board of Directors, while Suzanne Shank, President and Chief Executive Officer of Siebert Williams Shank & Co., commenced her term as Chair at the Board’s first meeting for the 2024-2025 term.
Shank, who chaired the 2024 Mackinac Policy Conference, succeeds Matt Elliott of Bank of America. Elliott's one-year term as Board Chair concluded recently. The Chamber expressed gratitude for Elliott’s leadership and commitment over the past year. He will continue to serve on the board as immediate Past Chair and will also be a member of the Executive Committee.
The newly appointed board members represent various industries across the region:

- Rumia Ambrose-Burbank, President and Founder of CMS365
- George Cook, Regional Director for State and Local Public Policy – Midwest at General Motors
- Kimberly Andrews Espy, President of Wayne State University
- Jeffrey Gerish, President and Chief Executive Officer at Plunkett Cooney
- Paul Mersino, President and Chief Executive Officer at Butzel Long
- Santa J. Ono, President of the University of Michigan
- Tony Reinhart, Director of Government Affairs at Ford Motor Company
- David Rouls, General Manager at Slalom Consulting
